In the midst of all her FOMO-inducing globetrotting adventures, we were lucky enough to pin Ella down for a quick chat about her trend obsessions, style icons and top accessorising tips. Here's what we learned from our five minutes with Ella Squire.
How would you describe your style?
I’d describe my style as structured, minimal and timeless, with statement accessories that add personality and elevate every look. I’m drawn to clean silhouettes and classic wardrobe staples that feel effortless, then I finish the look with jewellery and a beautifully designed bag that makes an impact.
Who are your style icons?
I’m inspired by women who make dressing feel effortless. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for her understated elegance, Hannah Schonberg for her creativity, and Hailey Bieber for the way she mixes classic staples with contemporary trends.
Which pieces are your favourites from Mimco’s July, August and September collection?
I’m obsessed with the Turnlock East West Bag in Chocolate — the silhouette is timeless, chic, and the rich chocolate suede feels incredibly luxe. I also love the chunky chain jewellery, especially the Fortuna Duo Necklace, which instantly elevates even the simplest outfit and is an essential in your summer wardrobe! The Abundance Stone Earrings and Ring are such beautiful statement pieces, and of course the Mini Barrel Bag range for its modern shape and versatility. The colour options are so cute!
What is your top styling tip for incorporating pieces from the collection into an everyday look?
I always start with timeless foundations — think tailored trousers, great denim or a crisp white top, and then I let my accessories be the hero. A sculptural bag, layered chain necklace or a statement ring can completely transform a minimal outfit without making it feel over-styled.
Is there a current trend you’re loving?
I’m loving the return of rich chocolate tones, modern tailoring and mixed-metal accessories. They feel sophisticated, versatile and easy to incorporate into an everyday wardrobe while still feeling fresh.
How do you stay up to date with fashion trends?
I love finding inspiration organically through Pinterest, and the creators I follow online. I also enjoy seeing how trends evolve on the runway and then interpreting them in a way that feels authentic to my own personal style rather than following every trend.
What are the three essential accessories in your wardrobe?
A structured handbag, a statement necklace and a great pair of sunglasses. They’re the pieces I reach for every day because they instantly make any outfit feel polished and complete.
What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of Mimco, or what do you love most about the brand?
Elevated. I love that Mimco creates accessories that feel fashion-forward yet timeless. Their pieces have a distinctive design aesthetic while still being incredibly wearable, making them the kind of accessories you reach for season after season.
