Tyrelle Beattie is the founder of Kepler Keychains — the Australian brand on a mission to help women feel safer and more confident in their everyday lives.
Born from Tyrelle's own experience and frustration at the lack of practical, legal personal safety tools on the market, Kepler was created with the mission of providing Australian women with a discreet and aesthetically pleasing tool that offers real support in emergency situations. What started as a personal project has since grown into a powerful community-led movement that continues to shift the conversation around safety and confidence.
This season, Mimco is partnering with Kepler to bring customers a limited-edition personal safety alarm designed to clip seamlessly alongside your favourite bag charms and accessories. Ahead of the collaboration's launch, we sat down with Tyrelle to chat about her personal style, the pieces she reaches for every day, and why her Kepler alarm is the one accessory she never leaves home without.
How would you describe your style?
As a mum to a five-year-old who also runs a solo business, my wardrobe has to work hard. I love investing in base pieces that can be mixed and matched depending on what I’m doing that day. I naturally gravitate towards neutrals, warm layers and pieces that feel effortless but still put together. For me, style is about feeling comfortable and ready for the busy day ahead.
Who are your style icons?

She always looks polished and put together. I love that she embraces her shape and wears pieces in a way that feels strong and effortless. In my early 20s, I loved shows like Gossip Girl and dreamed of going to glamorous New York parties wearing the amazing gowns featured in the show.
Is there a current trend that you are loving?
Bag charms are my go-to.
I love that they make an everyday bag feel more personal and playful without having to completely change your outfit. My style is quite neutral, so I like accessories that add a little bit of fun to my outfit.
How do you stay up to date with fashion trends?
I stay up to date mostly through social media and shopping in-store. Social media is great for seeing what people are actually wearing day to day, but I also love shopping in-store because you get a better feel for the pieces. Walking around a shopping centre and trying outfits on is my idea of a fun day out.
What are your favourite Mimco pieces within our April, May and June Collection?
The Signatura Charm Hoop Earrings feel classic with a little bit of personality. They’re the kind of earrings that could work with so many different outfits, from something casual during the day to a more classic look at night. The Brittany Tote Bag is such a beautiful everyday piece. It feels timeless and elevated, with enough room to carry everything you need (which is a lot for me!).
What’s your top styling tip for anyone wanting to incorporate pieces from the collection into their everyday look?
My top styling tip is to build around pieces you genuinely feel good in. I love starting with comfortable base pieces and then using accessories to make the outfit feel more finished. For me, the personal alarm fits naturally into my everyday look because it clips onto my keys or bag and becomes part of what I carry. It’s practical, but it also gives me that extra feeling of confidence when I leave the house.
What’s your top styling tip for anyone wanting to incorporate pieces from the collection into their everyday look?
Choose pieces you’ll reach for again and again. Styling becomes effortless when accessories feel like a part of your everyday uniform rather than something saved for special occasions. The more you wear them, the more natural they feel.
What are the three essential accessories in your wardrobe?
My three essential accessories are a bag that fits everything I need, gold earrings, and my absolute must-have: my personal alarm. It’s the one accessory I don’t leave the house without. A great bag and earrings help me feel put together, but my personal alarm gives me that extra feeling of confidence when I’m out and about. To me, it’s become just as essential as my keys or phone.
What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think of Mimco / what do you love most about Mimco?
The words I think of are iconic, elevated and quality. I love that Mimco pieces have always felt like more than just accessories. They feel considered, beautifully designed and made to be part of your wardrobe for years. That’s what makes the brand so iconic to me.
